Wine Tours

Wine tours to my home country Czech Republic

Last autumn, I organized two wine tours to the Czech Republic. I went with my classmates from sommelier school, people from one of my wine clubs, and members of the study circle for Munskänkarna’s 3rd level course. It was a couple of truly fun weeks filled with great wines and wonderful encounters. Since it left us wanting more and turned out to be such a success, I’ve decided to organize a few more trips, this time in the spring.

What we did last autumn

During last autumn’s trips, we focused on discovering the full breadth of what the Czech wine landscape has to offer. Among other things, we managed to:

  • Visit 6 vineyards in 5 different Czech subregions.
  • Visit Salon vín, the national wine center where the country’s best wines are gathered.
  • Experience a local harvest festival with traditional folk costumes, folk music, and tastings of burčák – the famous, young, sparkling Czech wine that’s only available during the harvest season.

Guidance in Swedish and Czech

When you travel with me, you get a guide who knows the area and understands the culture. I grew up in the Czech Republic and speak the language fluently, which makes it easy to talk directly with the winemakers and find the more local spots. As a trained sommelier with a WSET Level 3 certificate under my belt, I’m also happy to help you understand and discover the fantastic wines we taste.
